DURHAM MINERS' GALA WEEKEND

STILL THE ENEMY WITHIN

Fresh from its sell-out premiere at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival in June, Still the Enemy Within will be screened at the iconic Durham Miners Hall on 13th July. With an introduction by a Paul Mason, Economic Editor for Channel 4 News (personal capacity) followed by  a Q&A with the team, this event promises to be a fantastic end to the 2014 Durham Miners Gala.

Still the Enemy Within is a unique film, that gives an insight into one of Britain’s most dramatic struggles, the 1984-85 Miners’ Strike. No experts. No politicians. Thirty years on, this is the raw first-hand experience of those who lived through the UK’s longest strike. Follow the highs and lows of that life-changing year.

Be one of the first people to see this landmark documentary.

Thirty years ago, Thatcher went to war. These are the miners who fought back.
